School Parliament

The school council is a group of children from Year 1 to Year 4 who are elected by their class to represent their views and make a positive contribution towards school life.  The representatives meet regularly to discuss any matters their class would like to raise.  They plan and carry out fund raising activities and events, such as Children in Need, Comic Relief, The Big Teddy Takeover, The Shoebox Appeal and many more across the year!

Election Process

The election process takes place at the start of the Autumn Term.  Children wishing to run for election must prepare their manifesto and present their ideas and why they think they will be a good council representative to their class.  Every member of the class will then vote for the person who they think would make a good member of the School Parliament.  The two children from each year group who receive the highest number of votes will become members of the School Parliament.
